So, I hope a lot of my followers know that I go to school for Criminal Justice, and I am obsessed with the Columbine shooting, I’ve been researching and gathering information on it for about the past 2 years, and have avoided watching this movie for forever in fear of it disabling me to understand the psyche of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, the perpetrators of which the two main characters, Andre and Cal, are based off of. This movie is absolutely everything I could have asked for. Instead of the typical Columbine doc focusing on the victims, this focused on the boys behind it all. It kept me wanting more and if any of you are interested in the Columbine shooting, I would watch it. Although the “basement tapes,” a series of videos recorded by the boys regarding the massacre, were never released to the public, this movie is a good portrayal of what they would be like, because I’ve seen the court docs about it and have become very familiar with them. I cannot get over how awesome it was, and how much more interested I just became in the massacre (as if I wasn’t obsessed already). If you are interested in the minds and psyche of two of the most infamous school shooters in America, this is the film for you.
